Pegasus Imagery is seeking highly motivated, adaptive small team leaders as flight Operations Managers.
Our integrated field teams of pilots, sensor operators, mission specialists are tightly-knit and often operate in highly challenging and dynamic environments. In addition to the required experience below, our ideal candidate must demonstrate exceptional personal initiative and strong leadership attributes in demanding situations.
Lead operational planning, deployment and successful execution of a flight team to achieve customer success and support company technology development.
Coordinate and liaise between customer leadership and supervisors on the safe employment of assets.
Troubleshoot operational issues prior to, during and lead post-deployment reviews to drive process improvements that streamline work and save costs.
Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail, with an emphasis on safety.
Design, deliver and sustain flight team training, maintenance and professional development and provide recommendations to improve company safety and operations procedures.
5+ years of relevant professional experience leading diverse technical teams in austere conditions.
Transport Canada Advanced Operations Certificate.
Certified Industry Canada Restricted Radio Operators License (Air) ROC (A).
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Strong working knowledge of Emergency Management and Public Safety operations.
Private Pilots License or Commercial Pilots License (Fixed-wing or Helicopter).
Military, Law Enforcement or Wildfire leadership experience.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Experience working at a Unmanned Aerial Vehicle commercial company.
Ability to pass Royal Canadian Mounted Police background check.
Must be willing to travel (approximately 40%) to field locations as necessary.
Must be willing to work 50+ hours a week (overtime) when necessary to support field operations and critical project timelines, flexibility required.
Must be able to lift 45lb unassisted.
Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, pushing, stooping, stretching and carrying are generally required to perform functions of this position.
Must be able to work at elevated heights (up to 300 feet) including the use of ladders.
Must be willing to operate heavy machinery.
Typically exposed to work in extreme outdoor environments - heat, cold, rain, ice.
Work performed in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, noise and reduced air quality.
