IT Services Technician

Pegasus Imagery is seeking a talented IT Services Technician with strong knowledge and experience in world class IT service delivery.  This position will be responsible for supporting internal IT services as well as service delivery to customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform complex assembly and testing of radios and other electronics systems at the sub-assembly and whole system level, both in accordance with documented assembly and testing procedures.

  • Understand and participate in the integration process at every stage and be ready to support troubleshooting during field operations.

  • Work with the radio manufacturer to define and implement integration, sustainment and maintenance of electronic systems used by Pegasus.

  • Work with other teams in the company to define and improve business development, sales and support.

  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail, with an emphasis on safety.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Electrical or Applied Information Systems.

  • Proficiency in reading PCB schematics, layout, assembly and mechanical drawings is a must.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

  • Proficiency in computer skills such as Microsoft Word and Excel is a must.

  • Experience in command line and script-based testing in a Linux environment is a huge plus.

  • Experience in mechanical and electronic troubleshooting is highly desirable.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to pass Royal Canadian Mounted Police background check.

  • Must be willing to travel (approximately 40%) to field locations as necessary.

  • Must be willing to work 50+ hours a week (overtime) when necessary to support field operations and critical project timelines, flexibility required.

  • Must be able to lift 45lb unassisted.

  • Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, pushing, stooping, stretching and carrying are generally required to perform functions of this position.

  • Must be able to work at elevated heights (up to 300 feet) including the use of ladders.

  • Must be willing to operate heavy machinery.

  • Typically exposed to work in extreme outdoor environments - heat, cold, rain, ice.

  • Work performed in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, noise and reduced air quality.
