Pegasus is seeking an energetic, self-driven individual to serve as Communications Manager in a growing and dynamic team.
Represent the company as the Pegasus spokesperson.
Develop and implement strategic communications programs and provide tactical public relations support and guidance.
Develop and sustain engaging relationships with media and prepare press materials, statements, talking points and other content as needed for public relations activities.
Ensure the company remains responsive and timely to media timelines, including establishing joint communications strategies with market partners in response to strategic priorities and crisis situations.
Provide median and communications training and support to Pegasus staff, including preparing for key interviews and speaking engagements.
Manage communications resources coordination with other teams to support business objectives.
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in an applicable field.
5-7 years of experience in communications and public relations.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Prior experience as media spokesperson.
Exceptional track record in working effectively with the media, including pitching and trade and exhibition venues.
Established Skills in critical thinking and strategic thinking, decision-making, negotiation and relationship-building.
Demonstrated success in complex and dynamic situations.
Experience building or effectively managing social media strategies and tactics.
Prior experience in company target markets with excellent professional reputation and networks.
Ability to pass Royal Canadian Mounted Police background check.
Must be willing to travel (approximately 40%) to field locations as necessary.
Must be willing to work 50+ hours a week (overtime) when necessary to support field operations and critical project timelines, flexibility required.
Must be able to lift 45lb unassisted.
Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, pushing, stooping, stretching and carrying are generally required to perform functions of this position.
Must be able to work at elevated heights (up to 300 feet) including the use of ladders.
Must be willing to operate heavy machinery.
Typically exposed to work in extreme outdoor environments - heat, cold, rain, ice.
Work performed in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, noise and reduced air quality.
