Pegasus is seeking a power electronics engineer to join our team. This role is an opportunity to have an exponential impact in creating and deploying transformative technology for real-world impact, and your work will directly contribute to this.


This position will have you joining a team developing autonomous fixed wing aircraft. You will directly contribute to the design, testing and lifecycle management with a small team in a fast-paced, risk-tolerant environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Full cycle PCB design from defining requirements to schematic design, layout, test, debug and integration within the system.

  • Development of aircraft hybrid electric power system components, including power management, generation, wire harnesses and sub--systems.

  • Provide support and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Engage with suppliers, evaluate and source power system components.

  • Actively contribute to design reviews and provide feedback at the peer and company-wide.

  • Build and test electrical system components from concept to bench to flight tests.

  • Support low-level firmware development for testing.

  • Be prepared to support field operations with troubleshooting and fault-tracing.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • 2 years of relevant engineering circuit design experience.2

  • Experience in power circuit design including motors and batteries. 

  • Demonstrated competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and test automation. 

  • Familiar and comfortable with standard interfaces such as Ethernet, CAN, I2C, USB, etc.

  • Knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics, including switching power suppliers, analog amplifiers, etc.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in hybrid-electric aircraft design.

  • Experience in robotics.
