This position will have you joining a team integrating hardware and software development, a strong ability to lead and grow a multidisciplinary team is essential for success.


What you’ll do:

  • Define solutions. Identify opportunities to accelerate Pegasus objectives and deployment and scalability of aircraft and sensor systems.

  • Prioritize and execute. Define clear objectives for your portfolio in partnership with engineering, operations and business partners. Develop highly effective team structures that prioritize and enable rapid development cycles. Build flexibility into processes and adapt to new information, as required.

  • Communicate. Build and sustain strong communication within the team and stakeholders on vision, development and challenges, manage expectations and escalate decision points with appropriate options, as needed.

  • Lead. Get hands-on experience throughout the lifecycle of the product that accelerates maturation, from initial operational capabilities through daily improvements.

  • Measure what matters. Set and monitor key metrics for success.

  • Build relationships. Engage with suppliers, contractors and partners to grow professional relationships essential to long term success.

  • Ownership. Actively contribute to growing company culture in Pegasus. Build world-class technology alongside driven, passionate engineers, business development, operations and marketing teams, all focused on customer success.


About You:

  • You have demonstrable experience in project management and have previously led a team taking something from a crazy idea to fielded, mature product/solution.

  • You may not have an aerospace background but are technically savvy enough to ask engineers good questions about materials, aerodynamics and flight testing.

  • You can consolidate multidisciplinary team strengths and gaps into mutually supportive action plans, and cut through ambiguity when needed.

  • You have a bias towards action that builds teams who achieve ambitious goals and are excited to help with any task necessary to furthers this, from helping test a piece of hardware in the field, to writing documentation.

  • You learn rapidly and have a strong curiosity.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in electrical or software product development, with at least 1 project where you were in a direct management capacity.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams to achieve their best work.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aerospace, robotics or national security familiarity through experience or education.

  • Understanding of Computer Vision/image processing, especially in embedded systems or robotics.

  • Strong coding and product management experience with C, C++, C# and Python.

  • Strong Linux development experience.
